Laura Gordon
Centre Director
“I
have always enjoyed working with children, as I love their energy and
enthusiasm for learning. Being able to support the children to not only
achieve their full academic potential but grow in confidence means we can see
changes in the children everyday, creating a really exciting environment to
work in.”
Laura graduated from
University of the Arts London with a 2:1 in Theatre & Costume Design.
Inspired by her teaching and youth theatre work, she started her own Youth
Theatre workshop company, teaching children how to create their own
performances. It was here that she developed her passion for working with
children, helping the children to enjoy learning and grow in confidence. In her spare time Laura enjoys going to the theatre, netball
and designing.

'I have always enjoyed working with children, as I think there is nothing more rewarding than helping a child to grow in confidence and reach their full potential. At Explore Learning children work in an interactive and stimulating learning environment, where they are able to work at their own pace and are supported every step of the way to develop their academic ability.'
Lucy England graduated from Lancaster University with a high 2:1 in English Literature. Alongside her academic studies she was also an active participant of Lancaster University's Theatre Group, Rowing Team and Volunteer Unit. Whilst at university Lucy volunteered to teach Creative Arts in primary schools throughout the Lancashire area and worked as a classroom Assistant in a local primary school. Lucy was awarded the 'Most Outstanding Volunteer Award' for her dedication and commitment to the Creative Arts project. For her academic and extracurricular endeavours Lucy was selected to represent the University around the country as one of their Student Ambassadors.

Louise Jones
Assistant Director
‘I believe that real development
happens through education. Working for a Non-Government Organisation, which
worked with schools in Kenya and Tanzania, I realised that I would love to find
a company in the United Kingdom that felt that education was paramount and that
children should be encouraged to learn interactively. Explore learning embodies
this idea perfectly. During the time that I have been studying I have really
missed working with children, so I am very excited to now be at Explore Learning!’
Louise Jones graduated from The
University of Salford with a MA in International Relations and Globalisation in
2011. After growing up in South Africa and The Netherlands Louise was left with
a real passion for travel which led to her teaching in both The Hague and rural
areas of Ghana. She has been involved with various volunteering projects and
has a real passion for teaching and watching children develop.
