Kayleigh Blake

Centre Director - Borehamwood (London)

Prior to joining Explore Learning, Kayleigh worked as an SEN Teaching Assistant and Youth Worker in Brighton. Kayleigh graduated from the University of Sussex in 2008 with a 2:1 in Environmental Science. During her studies she gained various experiences working with children volunteering in two Secondary schools in the local area. During her time as a Teaching Assistant Kayleigh worked with young children in a variety of areas, including running phonics, speech therapy and motor skills classes.  Kayleigh enjoys travelling and has taught in Tanzania, her most recent adventure was a 10-week trip to South America.
 

Helen Jones

Assistant Director - Borehamwood (London)

Helen Jones graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 in English and Philosophy. Helen actively represented students in various roles throughout University showing a passion to support those in education. She also has experience volunteering with Young Enterprise, a charity whose work with local secondary and primary schools educates children about career paths. Helen  helped set up and run 'Young Carers Club' during studying  for A-Levels and taught Philosophy to Year 6 students. Helen hopes her work with Explore can inspire all its members to attain their fullest potential.

Charlotte O'Reilly

Assistant Director - Borehamwood (London)


"I aim to work closely with children and their parents to ensure that each child enjoys learning and has the knowledge and confidence to realise and achieve their own ambitions."
 
Charlotte attended the University of Exeter and achieved a 2:1 in Conservation Biology and Ecology. She has gained experience working with children as a coach at her local trampoline club for four years.  She then went on to work at a children’s summer camp as an Assistant Group Leader, later being promoted to an Assistant Camp Director over a course of four years. Between university commitments she also volunteered for the Wildlife Trust as a Youth Environmental Educator and as a Teaching Assistant at a local secondary school. It is from these previous experiences that she learnt many key skills in behaviour management and how to work with children with Special Educational Needs.
