Chester Explore Learning opened in February 2009. Families from all over the region, including Chester, Ellesmere Port, Nantwich and The Wirral have already benefited from our unique learning environment. If you would like your child to attend a weekly maths and English session then come along to the centre for a visit. Booking for your first free session is vital; this ensures that a friendly manager can show you around, and find out about the individual needs of your child.

Call 01244 343433 today to book your session.

''To say I am happy with the progress my daughter has made over the past year at Explore would be an understatement. Now at high school she is coping so well and has moved up a set in maths and I believe this is due to her hard work and the excellent help from Explore Learning.''
Stephanie Gill, Chester Explore Parent

''The gradual progression in learning is really well suited to my daughter, she feels very comfortable working in the centre. I wish she could come every day!''
Ellie Roberts, Chester Explore Parent

Additional Content Courses

We run a number of additional content courses, including Explore Writing, 11+ tuition and Succeed In Secondary. These are weekly classes which take the place of one normal session. If you are interested in any of the courses then please talk to one of the managers.

Entrance Exam Course
This course aims to get Year 5 pupils ready for entrance exams taken in year 6. Our fantastic tutors aim to prepare members for the types of maths, English, verbal and non verbal reasoning questions they will encounter in the exam papers, as well as helping them with exam techniques.
The course runs on a Tuesday from 6.30pm -7.30pm.

Succeed in Secondary
This course is run exclusively for the older members in our centre. Children in Year 6 or above can come along to improve key elements needed in Secondary School. Members partake in research projects, topical debates and learn a variety of presentation techniques. This course really helps those children who are about to make the transition into, as well as those already attending Secondary school.
This course runs on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Explore Writing
Is a unique creative writing course open to any members between 8-14 years old.  Using a variety of  techniques the children on the course create a portfolio of writing that they can really be proud of. Even children who normally find creative writing difficult love the challenges they are given on this course and often tell us how it has helped at school.

We are running a special Explore Writing summer project for all current members. From July 1st and throughout the summer holidays we will be writing autobiographies. To reserve your child's place on this course talk to a manager today!

The course runs on a Thursday from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Chester Schools and Community Groups

Explore Learning works closely with local schools and community groups to inspire and motivate children to learn. We offer free maths and English workshops for groups of up to 30 children. We've loved working with lots of local children and we've had some great feedback.

We are currently running maths workshops for years 1 to 6, and creative writing workshops in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Time to Read initiative. These workshops are National Curriculum based and are fun and engaging for all year groups. We hold these workshops until the end of the Summer term. Additionally we can come and support local schools in their Summer Fetes by providing excellent activities for all the family. Due to the increasing amount of schools we are working with, spaces are limited so book yours now!

Mrs Bronwen Braisdell from St Clare's Catholic Primary said we are 'a valuable resource in the area', and Mrs Lawrenson from the Firs said we provided 'new ideas for maths.'

If you are a teacher or group leader and would like further information about our free workshops please call us on 01244 343433
