Explore Learning & Tutoring for the 11 Plus
At Explore, our dedicated team of tutors are committed to helping children realise their potential.
Our comprehensive 11+ programme gives children the opportunity to become confident with a range of verbal reasoning methods. In addition to this we ensure that they are developing the underlying skills needed to tackle the exam with confidence.
The Explore Learning 10 month programme
Full preparation for the 11+ cannot be achieved in a short period of time. Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning skills need to be developed alongside strengthening a child's general mental arithmetic and vocabulary.

Verbal Reasoning

Three years' worth of research by Explore Learning has developed a comprehensive course that will teach children the methods needed to answer every type of question in the 11+.

The course is taught in small groups once a week. The tutor's approach is both fun and relaxed. Each lesson includes games and activities that help to boost confidence and eliminate anxiety for the exam.

Numeracy and Literacy Skills
Some other tutors run 11+ courses to teach children the methods needed for verbal reasoning. However, without a strong base of numeracy and literacy skills, the effectiveness of this approach is limited.
At Explore Learning our approach is unique. Alongside the 11+, course students have their own, individualised programme to ensure that the underlying skills needed for the 11+ are in place. Our programme maps to the National Curriculum and prepares children for their year 6 SATS and the transition to secondary school. Course Costs
	A monthly supplement (payable by direct debit) Children should attend twice a week. One session will be at a scheduled time for the verbal reasoning course. Your second session can be taken at any other time.
