Explore tutors develop close relationships
with local schools and work in an entirely complementary way to the school curriculum.
Our Curriculum maps to the National Curriculum
Explore members are taught in a way that works alongside schools. All of our material and teaching methods map closely to the National Curriculum, ensuring that the skills and knowledge gained at Explore will transfer directly to the classroom.
The Explore Experience Improves Confidence in Class
Explore members become more confident in class. At Explore, enthusiastic tutors work closely with children helping them to practice existing skills and challenge them in new areas. This means that children never feel left behind at school, and never lose their enthusiasm for learning.
Every step of the way, the tutors encourage children and boost their self-esteem. Children leave the centre feeling really good about themselves, and ready to apply their knowledge in class the next day.
Explore Tutors complement the Curriculum and current teaching methods
All our tutors are trained to become experts in the curriculum and are knowledgeable about current teaching methods; helping to advise parents and teach children in a way that works alongside schools.
Teachers recognise the benefits of pupils attending Explore
Explore tutors build excellent relationships with local teachers, who understand that we work in an entirely complementary way to school life. They recognise that Explore not only helps their pupils progress academically but encourages them to be more proactive in the classroom environment.
"We have enjoyed working in partnership with Explore Learning. Our pupils have benefited through working with Explore tutors; Explore has improved their knowledge in numeracy and literacy and I have seen their confidence increase through their experience at Explore." Mrs Claxton, Headteacher, Larkrise Primary School, Chelmsford
“Explore complements the classroom environment. It’s not like at school where if you are behind, you are removed from the main part of the class if you can’t do something. Everybody (at Explore) has their own, unique programs. Not everybody knows what level everyone else is at, how old everyone is, what they might be doing at school. I see it as something that can give children a boost and improve their confidence. I think it’s very good that learning can be seen as fun.” Miss Christopher, Teacher, May Park Primary, Bristol
Explore in Schools
Explore Tutors are actively involved in school life and support schools by running assemblies and holding class visits. During the year the centre teams run numeracy and literacy rallies between a number of local schools, all of which helps to excite children about maths and English.
Explore Tutors will often be seen supporting PTA events and school fairs. If you are a teacher involved in the school PTA and would like to find out more then please click the button.
