Al graduated with a Mathematical Physics degree from University of Edinburgh in 2004. Through his experiences as a Head Councillor at an American Summer Camp for four consecutive summers, Al realised his passion for helping young people in a dynamic and interactive environment.

Al joined Explore Learning in the Autumn of 2004, undergoing his training to be an Assistant Director in Hampton before helping to launch Camberley in December 2004. In just under a year of being with Explore, Al became the Centre Director of Camberley, and went on to launch our fifteenth centre in North Cheam in early 2007. After helping two centres achieve rapid success, Al was promoted to Regional Manager in Autumn 2007.
