What teachers have to say about our free schools programme...
"It was a change to the norm, interactive, competitive, cross-curricular, 'pacey' and well-resourced."
Mr Gatenby, Year 3 teacher at Herringham Primary
"Very good interaction with children! Well supported, constant praising and encouragement. The workshop made the children aware of some of the elements which would help them to improve their creative writing."
Miss Brand, Year 5 class teacher at Chafford Hundred Primary.
"The tutors interacted really well, speaking at the right level and including all the children."
Mrs Hindes, Year 3 teacher at Graham James Primary

Centre News
We are happy to announce some changes to the management team at our centre.
Celenika Jayasinghe who has been Centre Director of the Lakeside centre since February 2009 will be leaving us at the end of August. Celenika is moving on to become a Primary School Teacher.
Celenika has thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Lakeside centre and she will be very sad to leave behind the children and parents that have made her role so rewarding. Celenika leaves the centre in great hands, with a team who are dedicated to providing the high standard of tuition you have all come to expect.
Abbie Moran, who has done a terrific job as Assistant Director will become the new Centre Director when Celenika leaves. Abbie will be joined by Katherine Wilson and Nicola Wareham who most of you have already met.
The new Assistant Directors are very excited to get to you know all the parents and children and we are sure you will make them feel very welcome.
Explore Learning will miss Celenika and wishes her every best wish in her new teaching career.

What our parents have to say...
"Louis has just had his exams in school and had no problems with them, where he would have struggled before. My children love coming here and would come in for more than two sessions per week if they could."
Paula O'Neill (Lakeside parent)
"The friendliness of the tutors has offered us an encouraging prospect as my son is now more open to learning and more excited about it. He is happier about learning, especially in maths as that was a subject he lacked confidence in."
Michelle Wheeley (Lakeside parent)
"Denzel's confidence has improved and Kimberley feels a lot more challenged. The level of service is excellent and we receive thorough feedback."
Patricia Okwuasaba (Lakeside parent)
What teachers have to say...
"The tutors kept pupils engaged at all times, challenging their thinking and listening skills."
Class teacher at Shaw Primary
"All the children were focused and putting their hands up. They asked when the tutors were coming back, and really enjoyed the maths activity."
Mrs Arnott, teaching assistant at Bulphan Primary
"The tutors supported and scaffolded learning rather than doing it for them. All the children were actively engaged and smiling. What a great way to get children excited about learning!"
Miss Katz, teacher at Chafford Hundred Primary.
"We have talked about similes in our target work so it was great to build on it. The children were engaged in the writing task and they were happy."
Ms. Syed, Year 4 class teacher at Chafford Hundred Primary.
