Explore Reading
(ages 5-14)

The reading course combines a range of resources from digital books, phonic exercises and reading guides to engage children and develop their reading skills.

Tutors mainly use SuccessMaker™ and  Longmans Digitexts. Starting with pre-reading; looking at letters and patterns working right through to analysing authentic literature and learning new, exciting vocabulary, this course is motivating and challenging.

Interactive reading is an onscreen reading experience where children actively make choices whilst reading and respond to what they've read in a very dynamic and engaging way. Animation, audio and video clips embedded within the text stimulates the imagination. Reluctant readers can't help but be engaged by the material - they really help to move children on in their reading development.

At Explore, children can undertake project books as part of their Explore Reading programme. These books are produced by Longman Digitexts and move away from the traditional linear texts. The Digitexts series is highly acclaimed and takes reading to an exciting new level. Experience Feargal fly here: http://www.longman.co.uk/digitexts/
