Rachel Lomas

Assistant Director

‘Working with each member at Explore Learning to improve their learning, regardless of ability or circumstance, is the most fulfilling experience I could be involved with. I believe that every child can achieve their full potential given the chance, and I am passionate about facilitating this development. It is the unique learning environment that Explore provides, and the fantastic results that are achieved for each child that makes me proud to work at Explore.’

Rachel graduated from the University of Birmingham with a First Class Honours in English Language and Literature in Education. Before University, she spent five months in Ghana teaching English to children whilst living in a boarding school, and helping with all extra curricula activities. During the summer of 2008, she spent time working at Camp Taconic in Massachusetts working in the on-site Theatre teaching Lighting and Sound to campers. In 2009, Rachel worked in Brittany as a Eurocamp Courier and was able to help with Kids’ Club activities alongside her normal duties. It is this diverse experience abroad, as well as experiences in the UK, that gave her a lifelong love of working with children.
