Succeed in Secondary, Monday 7-8pm
In partnership with the Guardian newspaper, Succeed in Secondary is an exciting course centred on current issues. The programme is designed to prepare children for the transition from primary to secondary school. It is a great opportunity for older members to develop and practice their debating and presentation skills, whilst building confidence. The course is open to children in Year 6 onwards.
11+, Tuesday from 6-7pm
Our new 11+ course equips children with the necessary skills to pass the 11+ exams. Children are taught in small groups, focusing on verbal and non-verbal reasoning.
Creative Writing , Thursday 7-8pm
This fantastic creative writing course has been designed in conjunction with Explore Learning, Immersive Education and the University of Oxford. The course gives children the opportunity to stretch their imagination, become skilled in a range of writing styles and produce pieces of work that reflect their new-found confidence. Creative Writing is suitable for members aged 8-14.
Explore Learning and Schools
In Peterborough we work very closely with a number of schools, libraries and community groups holding interactive and exciting literacy and numeracy workshops. In 2009 we were proud to present an award at Oakdale Primary School to the winner of our National Young Writer’s competition. Other schools we have held workshops for have been Hampton Vale Primary School, Welbourne Primary School, Werrington and Peterborough High.

Open Sessions are a fantastic opportunity for your child to show you the work they do at Explore Learning and for parents to meet the inspiring tutors they work with. Please see a manager to reserve your space.
