Explore Learning Swindon are holding a regional presentation evening on the 14th April where we will be selecting Swindon's National Young Writer 2010. Both members and non-members that took part are welcome to attend!

Succeed in Secondary, Tuesday 7-8pm
If you are in Year 6 or above then why not come along to our Succeed in Secondary! To prepare you for secondary school we look at issues in the news today and create exciting projects based around them. These range from PowerPoint presentations and newspaper reports to practicing note taking and debating. To find out more please come into the centre and talk to one of the managers.
Explore Writing, Wednesday 7-8pm
We have a specially designed programme that is set to stimulate and stretch your imagination! Using literary techniques to create stories, newspaper articles and play scripts we have something for every creative mind out there!
11+ tuition, Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm
Are you off to grammar school next year? Our 11+ course is excellent preparation for your entrance exam. Focusing on all aspects of the test we guide you through verbal and non-verbal reasoning in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Drop into the centre and talk to the team to find how we can really prepare you for your exam!
Explore Learning and Local Schools
Explore Learning has worked with a number of local primary schools in the Swindon area. We have been extremely impressed with all the children that have taken part in our maths and literacy workshops and we look forward to the new school term to hold many more workshops!
This month and during October we will be running a maths rally which will focus on using money and also some problem solving!

Members Workshops
Within our centre we hold lots of different workshops to interest and enthuse our members. Over the summer holiday we have had a fantastic programme of workshops including Money Madness, Exploring the Universe, Number bonds and phonics. These workshops produced some fantastic pieces of work, some of which can be seen in the centre. Keep a look out for our events over half term in October. Places are limited so remember to sign up as soon as possible!
Open Sessions and Coffee Mornings
We also offer the opportunity for parents to visit the centre during one of our open sessions or coffee mornings. Let your child become the tutor and see the work they are covering when they are in our centre! Please ask Emily, Chris or Kayleigh for the time and date of our next open session.
Centre News
We will be running lots of extra workshops for our members over the Easter holidays. These include exciting topics such as 'The Human Body' and 'George's Marvellous Medicine'. We will also be taking a look at the upcoming SAT's for our year 6 members!
