Before joining Explore Learning, Lia worked as a Primary School class teacher and has experience at every stage within the primary school setting, including Nursery. Lia worked for Explore Learning as a Tutor before joining the management team in November 2007. Lia graduated from Edinburgh University with a BEd Honours Degree in Primary Education.

James graduated from Edinburgh University in 2007 with a 2.1 MA in Business Studies.  During university James worked part time as a swimming teacher and coach; on completion of his degree he took a full time position recruiting and training swimming teachers.  James has also worked in numerous other educational fields including helping to run residential sports camps during his summer holidays. James has a passion for working with children, and observing them build confidence and skills for their future. 

Rebecca graduated from the University of Edinburgh with First Class Honours in Psychology before joining Explore Learning. Rebecca has experience of working with children of all ages in a variety of situations, having worked in nurseries, as a Classroom Assistant in a primary school and as a leader of various youth groups. Prior to university, Rebecca travelled to Uganda where she taught science and English to primary and nursery school children before returning to set up and run a children’s after school group in her local community.
